Michael Cassar

Some people map out their careers from day one. For Michael, it was a little different. Public Relations found him, not the other way around. He’s always been drawn to the rhythm of language, the impact of a well-told story, and the challenge of turning complex briefs into clear, compelling communication based on sound strategy. What started as a creative interest soon evolved into a career spanning well over a decade, across diverse industries, brands, and client objectives. 

Since 2010, he’s had the opportunity to work with a wide range of local and international clients across sectors including banking, telecoms, IT, sustainability, transport, and beyond. These experiences have shaped him into a versatile and pragmatic communicator, one who thrives under pressure, adapts quickly, and always keeps a strategic eye on the bigger picture while refining the smaller details. 

At Concept Stadium, he leads Public Relations within the Client Partner team, drawing from years of experience delivering results-driven campaigns and managing stakeholder relationships. He is especially passionate about the intersection of PR and brand purpose, and how communication can be used not just to inform, but to influence and inspire. His approach is collaborative, analytical, and grounded in real-world insight, with just the right dose of curiosity to keep pushing boundaries. 

In 2020, he completed an MSc in Strategic Public Relations from the University of Stirling, earning a Distinction for my dissertation exploring the relationship between PR professionals and journalists in Malta, a topic close to my heart, and one that placed me as a finalist in the EUPRERA (European Public Relations Education and Research Association) Practical Award Category. In 2022, he was accepted as a full member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, further cementing his commitment to the profession. 

Outside of the boardroom, he is able to recharge by spearfishing in Malta’s coastal waters, experimenting in the kitchen, or unwinding with a good book. He is a firm believer in the power of clear communication, honest collaboration, and always asking the right questions…even if the answers take you somewhere unexpected.
