Putting value into Valyou – from naming to branding to execution

Valyou is not just any other chain of supermarkets. The “smiley brand” provides the customer with a friendly shopping experience in a contemporary, yet familiar ambience.

The Concept Stadium was entrusted with the task of building a brand that reflects these traits, with the end result being an approachable brand that is sure to leave you with a smile on your face.

The brand brings together what was formerly known as GS superstore in Naxxar & the new supermarket within the reborn Belleview site in Mellieha.

Phase One kicked off with an extensive market research exercise that allowed us to truly understand the customer purchase journey, and what elements of the shopping experience are key to long-term customer loyalty. This allowed us to engage in an in-depth thought-process to generate a brand name that encapsulates all those key values. Hours of boutique consultancy and brand development came to fruition with the name Valyou by truly understanding the client’s language.

The Valyou Supermarkets brand also reflects the warmth of the supermarket interiors, designed by one of our strategic partners, Bianco Arancio, a group of Italian design consultants who specialise in architecture and interior, civil engineering and project management.

The brand was launched, as scheduled, in November with across-the-board activations including, digital marketing, Sunday newspaper wrap-around, print, bus advertising, TV and radio, In-store events and releases to the media to ensure this is the talk of town!
