The hotel needed to launch with a new brand identity and premium website, both capturing its unique feel and location, streamlining bookings, and engaging experience-seeking travellers through design and functionality.
From the ground up, the challenge for Concept Stadium was to develop a full digital and brand identity that speaks the language of the leisure and business traveller. The Concept Stadium team crafted a contemporary and flexible brand system for 17John, beginning with a sleek new identity, icon, and a custom word mark inspired by the hotel’s slim vertical structure. The brand identity was designed for clarity and confidence across media, supported by refined type, a sophisticated palette mirroring the hotel façade, and adaptable assets for hotel amenities and merchandise. The Commercial Creatives brought the brand to life through a mobile-first website, complete with third-party booking integration, live NYC event feeds via Ticketmaster API, and a robust SEO framework. Together, the brand and web platform offer a seamless, design-led experience that reflects the energy and elegance of downtown Manhattan.
